Selank is a synthetic analogue of the endogenous immunomodulatory peptide Tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), with a stabilising C-terminal extension. It also upregulates BDNF, modulates serotonin and dopamine transmission, and has immunomodulatory properties. Unlike benzodiazepines, Selank does not produce tolerance or withdrawal.
